Hi, my name is Tayler Horton and I am the Director and Co-owner of Shooting Stars Montessori School. I attended Kansas State University where I graduated with my Business degree and have been with Shooting Stars since our opening in 2020. I completed my NAMC Montessori Certification in 2020 and have several years of experience working with children in and out of the classroom.

Growing up, I knew I always wanted to work with children. My mom has done in-home daycare for more than 25 years and is my inspiration when it comes to caring for these sweet kiddos. It is so cool that I get to carry over everything she taught me into my school and classrooms!

I got married in January of 2022 and gave birth to our son Jett in January of 2023. We live in Olathe with our sweet doodles, Marvin and Milo. We bought our first house in April of 2021 and have loved working hard to make it our own. When I am not at school, my husband and I spend a lot of time with our families in Topeka or exploring new places in Kansas City with Jett. We love everything about being parents and I am so glad that I get to share my work with Jett as well! It is our home away from home.

I love bringing my creativity to our classrooms and watching the children grow each and every day. Getting to know all of our families is one of my favorite parts about my job. I am truly passionate about our Montessori program, teachers and the families we care for!
